With the start of a new season, it's time to begin looking at the top teams in New Jersey baseball. This year, we're focusing on the Class 2A teams. There are three teams that stand out in the state. The top two are St. Augustine and Kingsway. Both won two games each in the Coaches vs Cancer Classic.
In the early going, there are a lot of teams that are still in the mix. Cherry West defeated Camden Catholic, Millville and Hammonton both won two games. Meanwhile, Audubon fell to Kingsway. Holy Spirit split a series with Cedar Creek and beat Delsea. St. Joe's and Cherry West both opened with wins.
