The Patriots made waves by dedicating most of their draft picks to the offensive side of the ball, a choice mirrored by the Chicago Bears. New England's front office selected seven offensive players, signaling a clear intention to rejuvenate an attack that struggled mightily last season. Marcellas Dial Jr. emerged as the sole defensive pick. The sixth-round selection from South Carolina brings versatility and experience, having played 38 games with 29 starts in college, recording three interceptions. Dial is set to join a cornerback lineup featuring veterans Jonathan Jones and Christian Gonzalez, as well as rookie cornerbacks Alex Austin and Isaiah Bolden, both seventh-round picks.

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson, a cornerstone of their ground game, received a contract extension that guarantees him $17 million. Center David Andrews also benefitted from the Patriots' spending spree, securing an $8 million guaranteed extension.
